Along with the Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre is one place in Italy that I've been dreaming of visiting for years. Cinque Terre is made up of 5 towns, hence the name, and can be traveled in two ways: by train or by foot. It was surreal to walk though these towns and see the picturesque towns in real life. And when I say picturesque, man do I mean it - these places were dreamy and completely unlike anything I've seen before. Cinque Terre is a bit out of the way to travel to and my boyfriend and I decided to do a day-trip tour to visit this place. Unfortunately this did mean we were limited on time and had to follow the schedule of others, which was unlike our entire trip. We do wish we were able to stay longer and we would definitely go back again.

The towns were small and were bustling with tourists, which is to be expected. All I can say is grab a gelato (or two) and take a walk between the towns. Eat all the fried foods. and take a swim in the ocean. The entire vibe of these towns are very much laid back, and I'm sure you'll fall in love with this place as much as I have.
