Straight Gel-lin'
I have such a love-hate relationship with gel eyeliners. For one, application looks amazing. But on the other hand, brush maintenance can be a bit of a pain in the ass. I'm really making an effort to use up products, and with that I reached back in my drawers for my gel eyeliner pots.
I have a pretty bad habit of using my brush multiple times before cleaning it - pretty sure I'm destroying the life of my brush. However, when I need a quick clean I'll go ahead and use the MAC Brush Cleaner. A little goes a long way, and it'll get your brush spick n' span in no time.
My two go-to gel liners are the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Caviar (Deep Black-Brown) and MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. As you can see, I'm typically drawn to their blacks and dark browns - definitely eyeing MAC Fluidline in Lowlights which is described as a dark dark brown. I've been alternating between the Zoeva 317 and MAC 263 angled brushes to apply the liners. Sometimes to get a defined flick I'll line my eyes with the gel liners and then reach for my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper to get that pointed flick on the end.
Do you like to use gel liners? How do you maintain your brushes?
