Sephora VIB Sale Haul 2016
Another Sephora VIB Sale, another haul. Over the last few months you've probably noticed that I've been focusing on using products up and clearing out space. I had a crazy amount of empties posts last month (three to be exact: here, here, and here), so I embraced picking up a few new bits to treat myself for a job well done (although I do see the irony in it a bit). I did end up picking up most of the items that I had mentioned in my Sephora VIB Wish List (here).
I'm still on a massive skincare bend and have been more obsessed with the appearance of my skin. I love me a good peel-off mask but wanted to find a new one other than the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask. I saw the GlamGlow GRAVITYMUD Firming Treatment on a few IG stories and it looked promising. I've used it about 3 times now and I'm happy to say it does peel off in one clean sweep and leaves my skin looking rejuvenated and glowy. I'm still young so I'm not sure I saw any results in a firming sense, but the appearance of my skin looked prettty great.
I've been using the Son & Park Beauty Water as an alternative to the Pixi Glow Tonic and I love how gentle it is. My skin never feels stripped after using this but is left feeling clean and balanced. I've been pairing it with the Tatcha Balanced Pore Perfecting Water Gel Moisturizer in the mornings which has provided a great base to my new skincare routine.
As I mentioned in my Makeup Edit (here) earlier this week, I've been using the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. This has quickly moved up the ladder as one of my favorite foundations - my skin is left flawless and the color matches me pretty well. A few of you have asked for a review on this foundation so I think I will do a more in-depth one later on. But this one feels so comfortable on the skin and provides the perfect amount of coverage. Although pricey, it's much more worth it to snag during a sale! And foundation always lasts me a while, so I'd rather invest in a good one that I know I'll love reaching for. I also picked up a new Beauty Blender in the nude color, although I haven't gotten around to using it quite yet but I'm sure I'll reach for it soon! I'll set the foundation with my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder and then top it all off with the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Mist. I'll admit I didn't buy into the hype of the Tatcha mist, but it really just adds a touch of glowy-ness to your complexion. I usually use about 2-3 spritzes around my face, so we'll see how long this bottle lasts (hopefully a while since it's kinda pricey).
My weakness will always be lipsticks, and with the surge of obsessions with liquid lipsticks I was quite excited to give some bolder colors a try. I've mainly been using Kat Von D and Kylie Cosmetics lipsticks so I wanted to branch outside and give some new brands and shades a try. I had just tossed out my Stila Amore lipstick and wanted a new dark vampy shade, and the TooFaced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Liquid Lipstick in Drop Dead Red does just that. It can apply a tad patchy as most dark shades do, but I find that using a lip liner under helps a ton. I always love fuchsia shades so when I was saw Tanya use this Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Girl Gang, I had to have it. This has a triangle tip so you can easily line your lips. The last one on my list is a bold yet very wearable color, it's the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Kathryn. It's a nice berry tone with a slight hint of brown, it helps warm up the complexion without being too over the top.
And that's a wrap! I know there are a ton of products, but most of these have been on a note wish list on my phone for a while now. What are some products that you picked up during the sale or are planning to snag during Black Friday? Chat me if you've used any of these or love any of these too !
In the spirit of Thanksgiving I wanted to say that I am thankful for every single one of you! Blogging started off as a hobby and although it continues to be, I've found that I have a strong passion for photography and writing. Not to mention the opportunity to be a part of this beauty community that is worldwide, I'm so glad to have met so many of you all across the globe!
Recently I started using affiliate links just because blogging does take up a lot of time and as I'm trying to move out on my own eventually, I'm hoping that this blog will have some funding on the side that allows me to continue trying new products without breaking the bank. If you aren't interested in using the affiliate links I don't take any offense, feel free to just copy and paste the text into your search bar :)
