Back To M·A·C | Persistence
In my previous post on consolidating my MAC makeup (HERE), I mentioned that I had depotted some eyeshadows and had empty containers to return back to the MAC store. If you didn't know, MAC has a 'Back-To-MAC' deal where you can return 6 primary product packages in exchange for one lipstick. Pretty great, right? Thank you MAC for supporting all us makeup lovers out here.
So what is accepted?
PRIMARY PACKAGING / accepted
This includes the packaging used to contain the product itself. This includes: eye shadow pan, gel liner pot, lipstick bullet, lash case, foundation tube, blush compact, etc.
SECONDARY PACKAGING / not accepted
This packaging is used to protect / contain the primary item (ex: the cardboard box that contains the makeup products).
So what did I get? I ended up opting for a matte lipstick and went for the shade Persistence. This is described as a peachy cinnamon which is definitely my kind of lipstick. I had initially wanted to pick up Velvet Teddy, Mehr, or Whirl. After swatching away to my heart's desire, my eyes fell upon Persistence and it was basically love at first swatch. I don't really see the peach in this as it seems more like a warm, terracotta cinnamon color with a hint of brown. It's a warmer version of Taupe and a creamier matte lipstick version of the Kat Von D Lolita II Liquid Lipstick with a touch more brown. I have such a soft spot for these colors right now, if you have any suggestions send. them. my. way.
What MAC lipsticks are on your list to get? Have you ever exchanged old packaging for a lipstick?
