New In | Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich
We're a little over a week into 2017 and the product launches are comin' out left and right. But one that I've been excited for since the end of last year is Glossier's newest member to their skincare family - the Priming Moisturizer Rich*. Following the success of their original Priming Moisturizer, Glossier set out (by popular demand) to create a richer cream moisturizer. This cream is packed with ceramides, fatty acids, and a blend of shea and murumuru butters to create a non-greasy blend that sinks into your skin and locks in moisture moisture. Hello, heaven in a jar.
I've mentioned before that I'm a creature of habit so I'm always extremely weary of trying new skincare products. Of course I always do try new things (I am a beauty blogger after all), but I hold on strong to old products and go in to new territory with a bit of hesitation. When Glossier first came on the scene a few years back I was hesitant that the brand's claims would hold up. But after being proven wrong with their Milky Jelly Cleanser and Supers (Bounce, Pure, Glow), I pretty much dive head first into the any new Glossier skincare + beauty product released.
I've been working my way through some moisturizers so I never quite felt the need to try Glossier's Priming Moisturizer. But I started thinking about how many people raved about the product and thought it was about high time that I gave it a try. I received it a few weeks back and I like how lightweight it is while it sinks into my skin - a little seriously goes a long way. I am pretty fortunate to have clear skin but really struggle with redness in my cheeks the most - this. stuff. takes. all. that. away. It's incredible! Again kicking myself for not picking it up sooner.
Back in November, IntoTheGloss released news that a new heavier moisturizer was entering the game and I was beyond excited. Flash forward a little over a month and I was fortunate enough to become a brand rep for Glossier and able to give this product a try. *SPOILER ALERT* It's pretty amazing.
As you can see above, the Priming Moisturizer is a lighter texture while the Priming Moisturizer Rich is a heavier cream. You could take a scoop with your finger, flip your hand, and the cream would stick on - heavy duty indeed. The jar looks and feels luxe - and at $35 it's a steal compared to some high-end competition on the market. Staying true to the Glossier brand, you'll find the lid a nice pop of that Glossier Pink. One thing I love about this moisturizer is that it can be used both night and day. Wear it before heading to bed to let the ingredients repair and hydrate your skin over night. And wake up in the morning and apply again because it'll keep you moisturized as you take on the day and act as a primer before you apply your makeup. This really works to keep your skin thoroughly hydrated and nourished and helps keep redness at bay - it's literally a miracle in a jar. Fight that winter skin dullness with this heavy cream and keep your skin looking healthy and glowy. The scent is actually quite light and botanical, it almost smells a bit like rosemary and is very calming to use - especially during Winter.
(PS - don't worry - no moisturizer product above was wasted. After the photo it was just applied to my hands/arms!)
So what are your thoughts on the Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich? Do you think you'll be giving this a go this Winter to keep your skin hydrated and happy?
The best thing is if you haven't joined in on Glossier just yet, you can use my rep link and get 10% off your first purchase. And because the Priming Moisturizer Rich is over the free shipping minimum, so you don't even have to worry about that! And if you want to watch an awkward intro video from me, be sure to click through and have a look @ www.glossier.com/reps/cindy.
*Disclaimer* I do make a small commission from each sale, so even if you aren't a first time buyer it still helps when you use my link :) I'm a blogger on the side and any little bit of $$$ helps me build this space. It'll also help me budget accordingly as I'm looking to buy my first place with the boy! But of course if you don't feel comfortable don't feel that you need to use my link!
I received the Priming Moisturizer Rich for testing purposes, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
