CHY Turns Two
Where on earth has the time gone? But today CHY turns t w o. That's two full years of snapping photos, writing reviews, testing endless amounts of products, and making new friends as part of this wonderful beauty community.
Blogging has become such a big part of my life and more often than not I find myself spending a ton of my free time discovering and reading through blogs and browsing through various Instagram accounts. My weekends and evenings are often spent creating content, editing photos, and taking in inspiration from others. This space has started as a creative outlet and I'm glad to say that this space has remained as a sort of sanctuary for me to escape to. I've grown through my blog in more ways than I could ever have imagined. I'm taking on a more minimalist approach to life (in baby steps) and am happy to say that my photo skills have vastly improved - I think it's key to continue challenging oneself to grow and improve even throughout life.
Aside from growing, this space has allowed me to be so fortunate to have been able to work with various brands over the past two years and I really have all of you (both readers, blogging friends, and real-life friends) to thank for that! You guys always support me and cheer me on, and just know I always read every single comment and it just brightens up my heart.
And a piece of advice for anyone reading who may be starting out or looking to start a blog, these are the words that really stuck out to me. Start anywhere. As lame as that may sound, it really is true. I'm probably going to write a more in-depth post on some things I wish I'd known when starting out, but really - just. start. anywhere. Every blogger in existence did the same thing, began with few readers, and grew to where they are. Do know it takes work and is not a success that can come in the snap of a finger. But if you invest yourself into it, it is more than worth it.
But as a thank you for those, new or old, I'm hosting a giveaway with some harder to come by products for those around other parts of the world. As you guys know I'm a rep for Glossier now!
