A Makeup Menu ft. Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Camo Drops
Lately I’ve been feeling very “meh” about wearing makeup, and I love myself a minimal makeup look. In come the Dr. Jart+ Tiger Grass Camo Drops* - a lightweight serum and color corrector. I’ve tried the Dr Jart Color Correcting Treatment which is a lot thicker in texture. That one can be a bit more difficult to work with, which is why I thought these drops were much more ideal for using on a day-to-day basis without much thought or effort. It can be easy to go overboard with this stuff and look a bit grey/ashy so do go in a little at a time and work it in little at a time! Along with the Camo Drops, I've really been loving a fresh and dewy makeup look - so I thought I'd take you through my little roundup of products that I currently have on my makeup menu.
Lips + Blush :: Onomie Boosting Lip + Cheek Stick in Cruz * which is a lovely berry hue. It can easily be patted into your lips for a flush of color and also lightly patted into your cheeks for a natural touch of color. The product is extremely creamy and easy to blend - I love tapping this product in little circles along my cheeks to blend out for a natural frost-bitten look. For the lips a light tap of color is easy enough to smudge out. Along with Cruz, I have Tamar and Nightingale which are both beautiful deep hues that I know I’ll be reaching for more this Fall/Winter. Onomie recently brought out some new shades which also look beautiful! They have Caria, Aquitaine, and Rani which look like perfect hues (although ones I’d probably reach for more during warmer months). Rani is right up my alley right now as I’ve been loving all the orange-y blush hues - and they describe this one as papaya which sounds perf!
Powder :: Laura Geller Baked Bronze-N-Brighten in Fair* is an extremely pigmented product which adds a healthy sun-kissed glow to your complexion. This doesn't leave a dreadful orange streak on your skin, but a nice "just had a weekend at the beach" type glow of color. Literally the lightest touch of product goes a long way, so this one is worth your penny and then some. Plus just look at that marbling - how could you even say no to that?
Highlight :: Kjaer Weis in Ravishing* is a lovely light golden cream highlighter which adds a healthy touch of glow to your complexion. It wears easily on the high points of your cheek, nose, and cupid's bow. I love how hefty KW products are and the click that this product makes is the most satisfying thing you will ever hear.
Eyes :: Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper was my favorite for a while. I wasn’t using eyeliner for a few months there when I had lash extensions so this one has since dried out. I didn’t want to rush out to repurchase anything and had a mini of the Fenty Beauty liner that I got from Sephora a while back so I decided to use that and I love it so much! I even purchased a full-size of it during the Sephora VIB sale recently. I feel the most complete with a tiny flicked wing and a good liquid liner is key for that. (Disclaimer: I took these photos a loooong while back which is why the Fenty liner wasn’t photographed :B)
Brows :: Glossier Boy Brow is a favorite for many and I love it for a nice fluffy brow. I have pretty full brows so on light makeup days I like to just do a quick brush through with Black Boy Brow. On days when I fill in my brows with powder, I like to just quickly set it with the Clear Boy Brow for a little extra hold and oomph, without adding extra color.
Using all of these products takes less than 10 minutes! A quick morning makeup routine is the best when you don't have much time but still want to look put together. If you're really short on time, a little touch of color to your cheeks/lips and a brush through of your brows to give yourself a little extra pick me up. What are some products you love to reach for when you need to get your makeup done quickly?
