The Skincare Edit | Products Currently on Rotation

Sometimes I can’t believe how fortunate I am to be able to partner up with such incredible brands - whether I'm working with them on a project or just being placed on their PR list to be gifted new products to try. While a lot of viewers may see all that I have as a blessing, sometimes (and when I say sometimes, I mean a lot of the times) I become quite overwhelmed with the amount of products I have. I often find it hard to do detailed product/ingredient reviews and honestly it’s because I’m very much a self-learned enthusiast. I don’t claim to give skincare advice but I do like to test things and share my thoughts on what I like, what works for me, and what doesn’t. I’m trying to be more laid back with these types of posts so I hope you enjoy!

  • Tatcha The Silk Cream * | This is quite possibly one of my favorite face creams ever. A lot of creams I designate as AM or PM only, but this is one of those that I could happily use all day every day. When I travel, this is one that I loved to have as a mini to take with me! This isn’t overly heavy but I did like this during the Fall season more and this is one I’ll probably repurchase around then. I did just finish this up so I may want to end up picking up a new one a month or so before the wedding!

  • Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream * | This is a fairly recent addition to my collection and it was love at first use. This cream just plumps up your skin and gives your skin that dewy healthy glow - just as the name suggests. This has hyaluronic acid and it really just helps give your skin that plump overall look. The purple rice ingredient is a strong antioxidant and helps your skin recover and stay protected against stress, pollution, and UV damage. It may just be me hyping it up in my head, but I truly believe my skin looks a lot more even in tone.

  • Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Overnight Cream * | The Vinoperfect Radiance Serum was such a results driven product at brightening my complexion, so I was over the moon excited to give this a try. I try not to use this too often but maybe every 2-3 nights when I feel like my skin needs that boost, and I really do feel like this helps brighten the overall complexion and help to fade hyper pigmentation spots. I really need to try using this in conjunction with the radiance serum and I will report back!

  • Whal Myung Skin Elixir * | WM kindly sent me a set of minis and some moisturizers to test out and I’ve genuinely been loving a lot of what I’ve tried. This is that perfect “all-in-one” elixir product, like a toner and essence that hydrates and soothes my skin. It has a very herbal-y scent and it layers well with other products.

  • BeautyBio R45 The Reversal 3-Phase Retinol Booster System * | This set is pricey but I have seen such good results with this. Typically I am very cautious about using products with dimethicone, but since it’s a line down on the ingredients list I gave it a chance and i’m glad I did. I had a few spots during my stressful work season that carried through in April/May. I scar extremely easily and i’ve been a little bit self conscious of the spots it left behind. Usually I don’t care as much, but maybe it’s the wedding this year but I just want my skin to be the best it can be. The key to this is really regular use and after the 2nd/3rd week I really noticed a difference. I’m nearing the end of Phase 2 and can’t wait to finish up Phase 3. I’ll probably kick this into gear after Labor Day and before my wedding to do some last minute works for my skin.

  • BeautyBio R45 The Lift 3-Phase Advanced Neck Contouring Treatment * | As a millennial that almost always has her phone as an extension of her hand, I suffer from tech neck. I’ve become a lot more self-conscious of the lines on my neck as I get older and am eagerly trying as many products as I can to reduce their appearance. In comes this neck treatment from BeautyBio. I’m nearly done with phase 2 and have noticed great results. Of course the lines won’t fade completely, but with some massaging of this product and a regular routine with my gua sha, I can say I’ve seen a difference.

  • Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum * | As someone that struggles with redness in my cheeks, I am always looking for products that aim to target redness and calm skin. I always heard great things about the Dr. Jart Cicapair line and I had previously tried the drops/cream, both which worked but felt a tad heavier than I wanted. I came across this serum and jumped at the chance to try it and love how lightweight yet effective this one is. I’ve been using this every day for the last few weeks and have really noticed my skin looking a lot more even in tone and I attribute it to this. I have the Cicapair cream which I’m excited to break out soon and test in conjunction with this.

  • Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35 | I had a mini of this a few years back and loved it so much that I decided to splurge on the full size. As a typical hoarder, I held onto this for a long time and when I was organizing my stash and going through inventory (lol yep, that’s a thing), I noticed that this was expiring in July. I quickly opened it (~end of May) and have been generously applying this. Again, this has dimethicone and it’s supposed to help diminish the look of pores but for some reason my skin is ok with it and i’m glad for it. It’s been great for warmer weather and I haven’t really ben reaching for much concealer/foundation as it just slightly mattifies my skin and keeps it from getting shiny throughout the day.

  • Krave Beauty The Beet Shield | If you haven’t heard about Krave Beauty, it’s a skincare brand created by the incredible Liah Yoo. She puts so much time and energy into researching products and has slowly been releasing products - each one incredible. This is a sunscreen unlike any that I’ve tried before - it does not have a sunscreen scent and is not as dry as some Asian ones I’ve tried and does not leave a greasy residue behind. This also does not have any white cast and is great for re-application throughout the day. This bottle almost seems to be never-ending - I thought I was near the end but it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

  • Glossier Bubble Wrap * | This is a new release from Glossier which is meant as an eye and lip cream. I use eye creams more as a preventative matter rather than a corrective matter. This one is a great lightweight one that I like to tap under my eyes during the AM. I actually wasn’t sure how I felt about using this as a lip cream (the only other lip cream I’ve tried is from Aesop), but I surprisingly really enjoy it. I would apply this right before I went to sleep and in the morning I was always left with baby soft lips. This has hyaluronic acid and squalene - both hydrating ingredients that my skin loves!

  • Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream * | This was a product that was on my list to try for the longest time, and when I received it in a package from Caudalie I was over the moon. This has an airless pump (which is my fav for eye creams) and a thick consistency. A little goes a long way and I always just feel like my eyes look brighter when I use this. I don’t really suffer from dark circles but as I get older, I do notice slight lines more when I *don’t* use eye creams. I’ll never know when I’m getting close to finishing this but I’m hoping this lasts me for a while!
