The Hair Edit | Amika Daily Thickening Treatment

One of the first things I notice about someone is their hair. For me, my hair is a big security blanket and something I put a lot of effort into regularly. Years ago I had a mystery illness and with that also came some hair loss. I’ve worked over the years to improve my hair and have done a good job of it. As I get older, I know that more hair loss will be inevitable and I try to be as gentle with it and put as little heat as possible on it.

When Amika released their updated 3D line, they also released a new thickening treatment.

A good hair routine needs a strong foundation and I was excited to add this treatment to the mix. This product uses an ingredient called redensyl, a blend of ingredients that set the foundation for hair growth. This treatment promotes the appearance of thicker, denser, and healthier looking hair.

I will say that I inherited my dad’s high forehead and have always been a tough self conscious about it. While I think my hairline is still perfectly fine, I would not be opposed to it staying fuller. I’ve been spraying this when I wash my hair and have found that this helps my hair appear fuller.

It’s likely too soon to tell if this is actually helping with hair growth, but the added lightweight texture and volume this adds makes my hair look fuller and healthier.
