First Lush Purchase (Ever)
In my 20 something years of living I have never, ever purchased a product from Lush. Shock horror, I know. I used to absolutely detest the smell of Lush stores when I walked by when I was younger, but now that I'm older I feel like my scent preferences have changed. There are some products and scents in Lush that are still overly sweet scented to me, so I've been looking for some products that are more natural or pleasant to my personal preferences.
Enter in The Olive Branch Shower Gel. I saw this on Kate's blog one day and had to step into Lush to give it a smell. The smell of this is extremely fresh, no musky or overly sweet smells to linger. Just a clean remaining feeling. The sales associate showed me a few additional products that were close to my preferences, but I decided to go for just the body wash to take my first dip into the world of Lush. The 8.4 fl oz bottle costs $20, which is quite costly for a body wash. The sales associate helping me said she actually purchased the 8.4 fl oz about 4 months prior, and she was only halfway through. That sold me because if a little could go a long way then it was worth the splurge. I saw a few reviews online that said this didn't sud up well, but I don't find that to be true. This body wash does need a good shake beforehand as the olive oil separates from the rest of the body wash - this just ensures you don't slather oil all over your body. I've been using this for about a week and I want to say that my skin has gotten a bit softer with use.
Here are a few products that I'm eyeing: Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask, Salted Coconut Hand Scrub , Cup O' Coffee Face & Body Mask , Tea Tree Water, Turkish Delight Body Smoothie
I do wish I had a bath to use as I would love to try the bath bombs and bubble bars - all the European bloggers use them and they just look so damn great. Major swooning.
