Sephora VIB Haul | 2015
It's that coveted time of the year, the Sephora Haul-idays. I've been eyeing a ton of things in the past months and when the VIB Rouge sale came around I got a little too spendy. Shoutout to my mama cause I picked up some products for her, and she treated me to a lot of this. Not gonna lie, when I got each package - all the heart eye emojis. I'll go more in depth to these in another post, but for those that are VIBs, here are some suggestions for pieces you should pick up.
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit: I know a lot of bloggers have been on the fence about this product, mainly for the size of each pan and the cost. With the 20% off, this came out to be $64, and with 6 shades it came about to be ~$10 per pan. Not shabby at all. How much do I love this? So damn much. I used this without taking a photo - breaking all them blogger rules.
NARS Yachiyo Brush: Speaking of brushes to go along with the Hourglass palette, this. I've seen a few bloggers reaching for this, and in particular Faith from That's Just Fabulous. She notes how this brush is a great versatile one and I must say I have to agree. I'll use one side for Diffused Light, one side for Mood Exposure, and the very tip for Iridescent Strobe Light to dust on some highlight. It's a bit pricey, but I know this one will be well loved in my stash.
Kat Von D Lip Duo: Who hasn't heard of the all-popular Lolita shade? I know there's been a ton of controversy over the formula and the shade not being correct. I'm not too sure about this batch, but on my lips it's almost a greige-mauve color on me and I'm not too sure I'm a fan. This does also come with a shade called Lolita II, which is rather interesting. It's a lot more of a burnt-orange color but it is quite lovely. These are miniature sized, and for $16 it's a steal in my books.
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Barbara: I think it's safe to say that anyone who has tried the Audacious lipsticks can attest to the creamy formula. I've been trying to go for more everyday, wearable lipsticks. I love a good bold lip, but honestly they are not too practical for everyday wear or work. I was drawn to Barbara which is described as a Tan Rose. I think it's a lovely muted rose pink and I'm definitely excited to wear it! Also, who can complain about the packaging. Love the magnet - I can sit there all day and just uncap/cap it.
Nails, Inc.: This is a nail brand I've been lusting over for months. I always see Celina talking about these bad boys and I knew I needed to have them in my life. I picked up two shades - Victoria and Bamboo. (I threw in Porchester Square since I got them from Ulta recently, and you can pick it up from Sephora as well.) The opacity on these nail polishes are un-freaking-believable. Within 2 layers I had an opaque and shiny polish, with no streaking visible. The brush is much wider than I am used to but it allowed me to pretty much get my entire nail in one swipe - all about that.
Bite Beauty: This is another Celina inspired purchase, my girl has a kickass collection and the most beautiful shades ever. I picked up Pecan after seeing this on her blog and I must agree that this is the perfect everyday shade, I've worn this at least 3 times since I received it on Tuesday. Whoops. I also picked up the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind - it gives you 4 products for $25, and with the 20% off it brings it down to $20. You can't really argue with a lip pencil for $5. I have yet to try these, but I swatched them earlier and man are these creamy. The color choices are beautiful and I am eyeing Aubergine so much - I can't wait to wear that this season.
Becca Moonlight Pressed Powder: With the strobing trend high I've been wanting to get my hands on more highlighters. But these things are rather pricey for the small amount needed everyday. I had been so indecisive about which color to choose, and I would swatch these every time I was in stores. I did pick this up from Ulta back during the F&F sale, but it's available to you at Sephora as well! The packaging is extremely sturdy with rubber, so here's hoping that if you drop it your powder will be safe. The pigment is so buttery smooth and glides onto the skin for a soft glow. Moonlight does have more of a gold sheen to it which I love, so I'm not complaining.
Last up is the NARS Dual Intensity Blush in Craving: This one I'm not too certain of. I'm drawn to the beauty of it but I'm not sure that these shades are for me. I was looking online at swatches as this one was my most impulsive buy. This reminds me a bit too much of a highlight/bronzer duo, but while in stores the other day there were a few other options that I'm thinking of exchanging this for. I may need to wait until the craze of this weekend ends to do so.
That's a wrap! Have you tried any of these?
Let me know what you pick up/already bought at the sale!
