Winter Skincare Trio
For the first time in a while, my skin was acting up as the seasons changed. Although I guess it's the norm when the cold weather hits - and it definitely feels a lot colder this year than in recent years. My skin felt a strange combination of being both dry and oily, and really just lackluster overall. I've been rotating between these three products to help salvage my skin.
1. Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque: This is probably hands down my favorite mask. It's quick and easy to use, has a relaxing scent, and really feels like it's working. It pulls all the oil and gunk out of your skin and makes your skin feel clean - which is what we'd all hope for from a mask, right? I'll use this once or twice a week, and sometimes in combination with a moisturizing mask. A little goes a long way, and this tube has lasted me a good portion of the year and I still have a good amount left.
2. Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask: Alright, I give in to the hype of Glossier products. Since I had plenty of the Aesop mask left, I opted not to pick up the Mega Greens Galaxy Mask - although that is high on my list right now of things to try. Since my skin was acting up and flaking, I thought this would be the perfect option. I used this together with the Aesop mask and would place this on my cheeks where my skin flaked and used the Aesop mask in the oilier T-Zone area. This was the perfect combination of mask mixing for me and I can honestly say that it made a noticeable difference. After washing these masks off I could see that my skin was a lot smoother and brighter - definitely one of those masks that leaves you touching your face after. I have spaced this out to only use once every two weeks, but I'm due for another pamper sesh soon and I'm stoked. This product will definitely leave your face smooth as a baby's bottom.
3. Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil: I picked this up a few months and did a whole post on it. I haven't seen too much on this recently, but it's been about half a year since I picked it up and it's safe to say that I'm still loving it. When I got sick back in September, there was a period of a month or two when I didn't really pick this up on a regular basis. I noticed my skin feeling dull, and went back to using this. Can't say for sure if it was due to my getting better in health or this oil, but my skin feels more plump and has a healthier glow. Pricey, yes. Worth it? Hell yes.
