Recent Amika Empties and a Discount
I have been an amika affiliate for a few years now but there are so many products that have become staples in my routine. I’ve gotten through quite a few products and thought I would give a rundown of some of my thoughts.
Normcore Signature Conditioner - 1L Bottle | Conditioner products in a pump are my favorite and are just so much easier and convenient to use. I’ve tried a lot of the conditioners from amika and I find the Normcore conditioner to be my favorite. It gives the perfect amount of hydration, doesn’t weigh my hair down, and has the classic amika scent. I promptly opened a new 1L bottle after finishing this one :)
The Wizard Detangling Spray (x2) | Can you tell I really like this stuff? I have been using this almost exclusively for the better part of 2022 and I gotta say this is the stuff. This is a lightweight spray that almost immediately smoothes your hair. It also preps your hair for heat and as an avid hair dryer + heat tool user, I need as much protection as I can get. I’ve noticed very minimal damage to my hair and I attribute it to this product.
Hydro Rush Shampoo + Conditioner | This is a relatively new line but I’ll admit that this one wasn’t my favorite. This one claims to give your hair 3x more hydration (when used as a system), but to me this one felt like it left a bit of a film on my hair and I noticed my hair got a little greasier than usual. I think if your hair isn’t in need of hydration,
The Kure Multi-Task Repair Treatment | This one definitely helps my hair feel a lot smoother and healthier but I do find this one to add a little bit of heaviness to my hair. I recently stopped coloring my hair so I don’t think I’ll need this one as much in the new future, but if you’re trying to help any damage with your hair this is a good one.
The Kure Intense Bond Repair Mask | If your hair is in need of repair, this is the mask for you. This helps to treat dry and damaged hair and gives your hair a nice pick me up. As noted above, I haven’t been coloring my hair so I don’t think my hair will be in need of this specific repair help.
Reset Cooling Gel Conditioner | This is one of T’s empties and he likes the tingling sensation on his scalp lol. It’s a cooling conditioner with a touch of menthol so it’s hydrating but gives your scalp a little wake me up when you use it.
If you didn’t know, amika has partnered up with TerraCycle to recycle empty amika hair product packaging for free. They will take all your bottles, tubs, lids, and trigger heads. If you have aerosol cans, they do have a separate aerosol recycling program which you can collect and return.
