July // Favorite Little Things

Summer may be ending, but that just means that my trip to Europe is right around the corner! I've been trying to save for my trip, but ended up buying a lot of bits and bobs for the trip. That's usually how it goes, right?

Guys, backpacking and packing light is hard. Or for me it is.

I haven't been buying too many new beauty products, and have really been looking to my stash for a mix-up in products. As someone that really gets in the habit of using the same items over and over, I fell into sort of a routine with my makeup. I skipped out on a favorites post last month as I had either just gotten new products and was in my honeymoon phase with them, or just wasn't using any new items.

My Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner is quite possibly a holy grail product, but the nib was starting to fray and wasn't doing as great of a job at winging out my liner. I looked back at the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper which I had used and quickly tossed aside when I first got it. My first impression of this stuff was not the best, it came out uneven and almost gray-black. I had to re-line multiple times to get that dark, opaque line that was promised. I instantly went back to the Stila counterpart, but a few months later I reached back for this and it has been used every day since. Maybe the liner just needed time for the ink to flow through, but it's working like a dream now. I love that the brush is made up of hairs, this means there won't be any fraying towards the end of it's life-cycle, and it can help you achieve that thin cat-eye flick, or build it up for a statement liner. So if you don't have a great experience with this the first time around, give it some time and give it a second chance.

An old favorite is the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Streak. This is an all-around palette where I favor everything in it. You can bet that this will be coming with me to Europe. It has a nice bronzer which isn't orange on me, a lovely peachy pink blush which is perfect for Summer, and the prettiest pearly pink highlighter to brighten up your face.

Last up is the Luna Sleeping Night Oil. Yes, this stuff is expensive, but the results truly just speak for themselves. I wrote a post all about my impression of this stuff here - and it isn't paid for, just honest words. I can vouch for it this month as I have been using it for some time now, and have had two of the worst spots I've ever had - right. next. to. each. other. Nature is pretty hilarious sometimes. It was pretty much the worst thing ever. I'm prone to scarring easily, and with the help of Luna the spots are finally healing and have left little to no scarring behind. Of course there is still the usual scarring, but nothing like before where I was left with deep, discolored scars. This stuff is a literal god send.

What are some products that you have been loving lately?
