New In: Nude Lips
To say I have an obsession with nude lips at the moment is an understatement.
For the longest time, I would only buy lip colors in bold colors, whether they be bright or dark. The more I thought about it, I realized how impractical it was. Not to say that I'll stop buying those types of products, but I'm really swaying myself to pick up more neutral/nude picks that I can incorporate into my everyday use.
It's no secret that I love Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments. If I had to choose an all time favorite beauty line it would be this one, because hey, I have a lot. If you please, you can click here to read all about my two cents on Sugar Lip Treatments.
I had been eyeing the shades Honey and Nude for the longest time, and ultimately decided to go with Nude. Partially due to the packaging, something about the lighter shade just spoke to me. It has a peachy nude finish and I have been loving it. It has dawned my lips almost every single day since I got it. It's moved up on my most grabbed lip list, and has possibly won the spot in my makeup bag for my upcoming trip to Europe.
The second product I picked up is the Marc Jacobs (P)outliner Longwear Lip Pencil in PRIM(ROSE). First off, the name - ugh, love it. Although I do think of the whole Hunger Games trilogy. Anyone else? This is my first Marc Jacobs beauty product, excluding the perfume which was my signature scent once upon a moon. I had been reading about Marc Jacobs lip liners and eye liners on blogs all around. I was walking around in Sephora and decided to take a swatch of the lip liners. My eyes gravitated to prim(rose) and it was love at first swatch. The liner's application is a bit difficult as it tends to tug at the skin; however, the long-lasting powers of this stuff is incredible. I was trying to use makeup remover to take off all the swatches on my hand, and this one just would not budge. I had to get really in there to get it off, which I feel I should be concerned about, but I'm excited that this will actually stay put - when they say longwear they really do mean it. I've worn this all over my lips a few times since I've gotten it, and a few hours later I'll look in the mirror and it's still there. Couldn't ask for anything more! I've yet to try this layered under a lipstick, hopefully it'll help keep my lipstick in place all day too.
Have you picked up any nude colored lip products lately?
